Howdy folks,

Yep, it's true -- Debbie and I finally managed to sell our houses and unload enough stuff to break loose from Austin and hit the road.

We have landed first at the geezer-paradise known as Voyager RV Resort (www.voyagerrv.com).

Man, what a place! It's like a full RV city in the suburban desert of Tucson, with a highly entertaining Air Force stunt show going on daily overhead.

Why Tucson, you ask? Because it was the location of the Driving School Association of America's annual conference here last week. I came here to help promote and do some upgrades to the new driving simulator we developed for Road Safety International. If you're interested, here's a link to their new brochure: www.digital-vehicles.com/RoadSafetyDrivingSimulator.pdf

Due to the huge number of other things we had to get done before leaving Austin, we didn't quite manage to get our mighty internet-satellite (www.datastorm.com) system installed before departing.

For the couple of weeks we'll be here at Voyager though, we have hooked into the hip, new broadband WiFi network (www.rvwifi.com) they have available at this so-called campground.

We're planning to head toward California and get the satellite dish installed somewhere along the way in the next few weeks. We will then be free to travel anywhere we want, not just the few places with WiFi hotspots and/ormodem hookups.

So we should soon be settled-in enough to get the DEBCAR website updated with a bunch of photos and info from the months leading up to our departure, and with our future travels also.

In the meantime though, we just wanted to say "hi" and let everybody know that we're underway and doing great, and to expect more news from us soon. We hope y'all are doing well. Feel free to email us if you like -- naturally, we really don't need any forwarded jokes or urban legends or whatnot, so please don't take this as a request to send us such things -- but we'd love to keep up with what's going on with you otherwise.

Keep in touch!

Cheers,

Carey
